2015 marks the 15th Moon Festival - China Day organized by NCChinese in the Bay Area. This year we will have 2-day celebration on 9/27 and 9/28 (see the attached flyer.). We thank Diana Ding for referring Whole Foods Supermarket, a national-chain store, that has agreed to join the celebration on 9/27 in Cupertino.  
The 9/28 celebration will take place at the Orchard Farm Shopping Center in West San Jose. We will decorate the outdoor with flags, lanterns, and the Dragon Gate. Three aisles of parking spaces will be blocked off for booths for members of NCChinese to distribute their literature and to display art & craft and jump house. IPAC  will invite children to experience face painting, paper cutting, free trial of dance and Kung Fu classes, etc. In addition, we thank the Chinese Consulate-General in San Francisco that has donated many Chinese and English story books as gifts to the children. Also, there will be exciting indoor and outdoor programs:


Outdoor Program:
1) 10 -11am          Painting Competition - organized by International Arts Council and chaired by Zhounan Duan
                               The contestants will be in 5 age groups: 3-5; 6-9; 10-14, 15-17; and adults. Registration fee is $20. All contestants should bring their
                               own paper and pens; and create their arts under the supervision of the judges. The prizes are trophies, certificates and tickets to the
                               Spring Festival Gala 2015

2) 12noon - 2pm   Entertainment of music, dance, martial arts demonstration, etc by local art groups

Indoor Program:
3)  9am - 12noon   SVIAC Martial Arts Competition - organized by CPAA and chaired by Ann Woo

4)  2pm -4pma      Moon Festival - China Day Performance - organized by NCChinese and chaired by Shengheng Lin
                               A variety show for a sit-down audience including elected officials and VIP. This performance is the climax of the Festival .
                               The programs will be selected through an audition committee.




The Moon Festival is the most festive occasion 2nd to the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) in Chinese culture. Both are celebrated by Asians including Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, and now by the American mainstream as well. Please mark your calendar and bring your family to   join the fun.

由北加州华人联盟举行的“硅谷情，中国心”(Moon Festival - China Day) 已有15年的历史。今年2015年, 我们于9月27日和9月28日将有2天的庆祝活动。由丁维平(Diana Ding)推荐的Whole Foods Supermarket 连锁店已经同意在Cupertino于9月27日加入庆祝(请参阅附件)。


在9月28日的庆祝活动将在 West San Jose 的Orchard Farm Shopping Center 举行(请参阅附件)。我们将在户外装饰彩旗，灯笼，以及龙门。三行列停车位将被封锁设立展位为北加州华人联盟成员分发他们的传单, 工艺品展，跳屋游戏等。飞扬艺术中心将免费教孩子们画脸，剪纸，舞蹈及功夫等。此外，我们感谢旧金山中国总领事馆捐赠的中英儿童故事书作为礼物送给孩子们。

9/28 其他户内和户外主要节目:

户外项目：
1) 10-11am                   绘画比赛 - 硅谷国际文化交流协会主办; 由段昭南主持
                                      比赛分 5 组：3-5; 6-9; 10-14,15-17; 和成人。报名费仅20元。所有参赛者需要自己带纸和笔;
                                      在评审团的监督下完成他们的艺术创作。奖品为奖杯，证书及2015硅谷春节门票
                              
2) 12noon 2pm             多元文化娱乐 - 音乐，舞蹈，杂技，魔术, 武术等表演。免费。

户内项目：
3)  9am- 12noon          武术比赛 - 硅谷国际文化交流协会主办; 由胡琼君主持

                                      比赛分5 组: 7 and under, 8-12, 13-17, 18-35, 36 and above
                                      报名费40元; 奖品为奖杯，证书及2015硅谷春节门票

4)  2pm - 4pm               “硅谷情，中国心”表演 - 北加州华人联盟主办; 由林生恒主持
                                        该日的压轴高潮, 免费入场。 综艺节目由特定委员会推选 观众包括民选官员和贵宾。
